Klovnbuf Festival - Work-in-Progress Program

Klovnbuf Festival - International Festival of New Circus and Contemporary Clown - opens for the first time a call for work-in-progress performances.

The 13th Klovnbuf Festival will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 1st to 8th June 2020. The duration of performances we are looking for is between 30 minutes and 1 hour. We welcome performances that combine circus with other disciplines of performing arts, as well as with other artforms, such as literature, music, visual and digital arts. Street and other outdoor shows are welcome too. The festival will provide a symbolic fee, depending on the number of performers, as well as accommodation and food during their stay in Ljubljana. A feedback session with the audience will take place after every performance. High quality photo and video material of their performances at 13th Klovnbuf will be provided to all selected artists/companies. Please note that the festival is NOT able to cover any travel costs. Nevertheless, we can support your application for mobility grants or similar programs. The call for performances is open until February 5th at 23:59.

Please include the following in your application: * The name of the performance and the artist/company * Short description (max. 700 characters) * Duration of the performance and audience age limit * Number of persons in your crew and their assignments * Technical needs (technical rider) * How much time do you need for setup/set down * 3 good quality photos * A video of the performance, showing or rehearsal * Trailer/Teaser (if available) * Your possible upcoming shows so that we can come and see your show * Website of the company/artist and/or their references (short CV, max. 700 characters).
